99 ways to cook eggs

Because of the two fried eggs I ate this morning, I decided to write a whole blog about eggs to feedback. I was surprised by one person's action this morning:" May I have 4 fried eggs please?" That was amazing! In fact, when I was standing in line, a dining hall faculty asked me:" Are you waiting for (two) fried eggs?" " Yes is am." Although I was curious about the left fried egg in the iron pan, I kept waiting in the line, then I saw the 4 fried eggs man.

Back to china , I also ate fried eggs in the morning because I think fried eggs are tasted much better than scrambled eggs. Usually, my mom only cook 2 fried eggs in the morning, one for my father and the other for me. She always said to me it is harmful to eat too many eggs. Did she deceive me about this? Although i don't think my mom will say a unreal word to me, I checked it last night. "In fact, a single medium sized egg contains 186 mg of cholesterol, which is 62% of the recommended daily intake." I found this I information on the website. If you eat too many eggs, you will be poisoned by too much protein in the eggs. 

I start to worry about that 4 fried eggs man. Actually too much eggs make people feel disgusting. Several months ago, I order a wrong Chinese food meal: tomato fried egg, 2 fried eggs, egg fried rice and egg drop soup. I must say that, that meal was horrible. I felt nausea about eggs for almost a week. 

Another way to cook eggs is boiling. In a long period I didn't want to eat boiled eggs when I was in primary school. I think the boiled eggs must smell like chicken' dung. Every time when I see boiled eggs on the table, I didn't want to eat anything any more. I don't know why I changed this strange habit, but I eat them now, with sauce oil or hot pickle mustard tuber. Wait, I got this word "hot pickle mustard tuber" from the dictionary. It only has two syllables in Chinese. In fact, English menus are so specific. For example, if there is a Chinese rice dumpling called "Lian Rong Rou Zong" in English it is called "Glutinous rice stuffed with ground lotus seeds wrapped in reed leaves." That's really funny. If you write a Chinese menu into English, you will know how to cook it immediately.

Last one is steamed egg. There is a big differences between American and Chinese steamed eggs. It is hard to describe the differences, but Chinese steamed egg is much like semi-liquid. I love to mix them with rice and shrimp, that was delicious, but I can never eat them in america. First of all steamed egg in America is custard. The second is American never eat that kind of 2cm long shrimp in river.

In fact, several years ago, I like to eat breakfast everyday. When I was in primary school, every morning my grandfather sent me to school by bus, we would get off the bus one station earlier, and eat breakfast in a breakfast bar. I usually ordered a bowl of noodle, Steamed Buns or wonton soup. Talking about wonton soup, I have a question that I can still not figure out in these 3 years. Why American people call chicken noodles soup when Chinese people call it “chicken soup noodles”, and call wonton soup when Chinese people only call it “wonton”? When you hear chicken noodle soup, you must think it is a kind of soup, and the core of this dish is soup, right? But the real chicken soup noodles is focusing on noodles. Chinese people eat chicken soup noodles on their birthday and call it longevity noodle, but not “longevity soup”. The same theory as wonton, when you eat wonton soup, the first thing come up in your mind is eating the wonton or drink the soup? Then why people call it wonton soup? If you only boil the big size wonton, the “soup” of boiling the wonton will taste like nothing, will you still call it wonton soup?

A good breakfast can always give people the power to work for the whole morning. When you are in the class, the breakfast you just ate coming out in your mind is a basket steaming hot buns, you will feel satisfied and then put your effort into the works; if the breakfast coming out was a plate of scrambled eggs,then you must feel exhausted and suddenly lose all of your energy to work. I guess that is why I always feel sleepy all of the time. Although the main problem must be the age, if I want to get my energy back as I was in primary school, I must look for a good breakfast. There is no delicious noodles or buns anymore, and what I eat every day is potatoes and eggs without new meaning.

 I am a normal high school student,but not an ancient emperor, why I become such captious? I just read an article about American’s catering compare with other countries. In this field, Americans show the world their biggest weakness: the food culture in American is too simple and dull. When I first year come to America, in American Culture class Ms Lazarus taught us American is a melting pot. At the first I could not understand why it is called melting pot, is it relate to food? Now I realize it is! American absorb the food culture from a lot of countries, but almost lose the key point of every countries’ dishes. Fortunately there are a lot of people come from other countries. If you want to eat some good food, you must go to avoid to eat thing cooked by American chief.

I left scrambled eggs for a while now and I fell in love with waffles. Now the problem is not getting fat. To reach 500 words I prepare to write about how breakfast relate to oh life. Another point is asking people who else in the dining hall about how they feel. These two points may help me write something else in the next week.
